I didn’t want to title this post the “The Final Part” even though the weight loss challenge has come to an end.  Our journey has not ended, but it’s time to move forward to a new phase within our mission.

It has been five months since the start of our lifetime commitment and we have grown in so many ways in this short time. We are not sad that this part has ended because we are accepting it as part of the growth. The knowledge and the tools that have been given to us are priceless and timeless.

As we grew and tackled our mission, we shared pains, tears and emotions while we held each others hand.  In any kind of journey I have learned that support is an important key. I started my weight loss journey on my own back in July 2011, but I can honestly say that if it wasn’t for this awesome group I would not be standing where I am now.  I am stronger, healthier, happier and 3 pounds away from my goal of losing 100 pounds.  Yes! 100 pounds.  Yaahhh!!!! for me.

Words cannot express the gratitude we have for our trainer and co-trainer even when they showed us no mercy. I can assure you that #KillerKetsy earned and lives up to her call sing and #LittleTaffyD is not too far behind.   But make no mistake they were there for us and right next to us every step of the way.  They were our inspiration and our best cheerleaders.  They knew what to say and what to do the many times we ALL at one point felt discouraged and wanted to give up.   By no means this is an easy journey but with determination, dedication, patience and consistency you will see results.  You will get back what you put in.

We all had great results with the weight loss challenge, at the end we had a small graduation ceremony and received Excellence Award Certificates accompanied with incentive gifts that will take us into our new phase to continue our hard work  We sincerely thank you both for changing our lives.
My results on the weight loss challenge were as follows:

 1st Month  ~ Lost 8 lbs. and 5 inches
2nd Month ~ Lost 6 lbs and 8 inches
   3rd Month  ~ Lost 8 lbs. and 12 inches
 4rd Month  ~ Lost 7 lbs. and 4 inches
5th Month  ~ Lost 5 lbs. and 2 inches
Grand Total ~ 34 lbs and 31 inches

My Excellence Award Certificate

So here I am continuing my journey.  This was NOT the end, this was only the beginning.  The support will always be there. #KillerKetsy and #LittleTaffyD are not going anywhere.  My new lifestyle will continue and I will be starting my new phase soon.  Thank you “my girls” (#KillerKetsy, #LittleTaffyD, Robin, Kat, Diane T., Diane P., Lara, Mara, Ruthie and Zoe) for helping me travel my new camino.

On a personal note I also want to thank my other class instructors.  They have been also a source of energy, knowledge and inspiration on this journey.  From Zumba – Arelis Ramirez (#theelectricwoman), from Power Lunch and Stretch Dessert– Michelle Bernard (#pumpwoman) from Spinning– #KillerKetsy (#powerhousewoman) and last, but definitely not least the woman that helps me get centered physically and mentally with Yoga and Meditation – Lynn Crimando (#pretzelwoman).   I hank you all and now using Lynn’s words: “I put my palms together and I bow to my teachers.”

Me and #KillerKetsy (The only person I let kick my A- – ! Well, I don’t let her, she just does it. LOL)

I won Ketsy, lost pounds and gained lifetime friendships which have 0 calories, but are loaded with love. ~ Patti
