Raising Awareness on Breast and Cervical Cancer by LUCES and Tamika & Friends

On March 29th, 2014 there was a fundraising Zumbathon® at Our Lady Queen of Martyr Church’s Auditorium in upper Manhattan, NY.  The weather did not cooperate because  it was raining, but it did not stopped our mission.

Many people dropped by to have a great time, give support, and be empowered with knowledge.  The three hours just flew – it is true when they say “Times flies when you having fun.”

All proceeds of the fundraising will go to continue educational workshops and events to educate all women on how to prevent and detect symptoms of these two diseases that affect us.

We want to thank all of you that participated and donated to this event.  Without the support  and generosity
of all of you, we couldn’t do this job.  Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.  

We want to give a special thanks to all the Licensed Zumba® Fitness Instructors that without hesitation were willing to donate their time and skills to help make this event a success.  *ZIN® is a wonderful and powerful community.  We got 8 instructors in all to come in, and they were all AWESOME!!!!!

On a personal note I want to thank all of the Whitehall Health Club girls that came.  The girls from my Zumba® Class came to support these great causes and event.  Love you my girls. xo
