Patti Murillo Casa

(The Person)

Hello 🙂

My name is Patti Murillo-Casa.  I am a Certified Wellness & Transformation Coach, a Personal Trainer, a Group Fitness Instructor and a Women’s Health Advocate and Educator.

I decided to become a wellness and transformation coach after going through a cervical cancer journey and going through the journey of being morbidly obese, being diagnosed with diabetes type 2, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

I wanted to use both of my journeys as tools to motivate others and let everyone know that transformation and reaching your goals is possible for anyone at any time of your life. It is possible as long as you are determined, committed and consistent.

I am looking forward to being of service to you!

BIO

Patti is a retired NYC Police Officer, and a fitness and wellness professional.  She resides in NYC with her husband of 20+ years.

In 2008, at the age of 48, three months after she retired from the police department, she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer – stage IIB.

After her cancer battle she went into a level of depression.  Using food as an agent of comfort she tipped the scale at 238 pounds and wore a size 22 due to overeating, not exercising, and using food as an agent of comfort.  Being morbidly obese led Patti to be diagnosed with diabetes type 2, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and taking 5 diferrent type of medication.  It was then that she made the determination to make a U-turn to health.

In September of 2012, 14 months later from the start of her journey, she reached her weight loss goal – she had lost 113 pounds & had reversed  all her illnesses.  She did this by portion control & exercise –  plain old hard work.

Weight Loss

She kept her weight loss for three years, but like many others, she fell back into old habits causing her to regain back 60 pounds.

In 2019, she made the commitment to make that familiar U-turn to ultimate health and she lost 60 pounds by her 60th birthday.

Patti States

Weight loss is a difficult journey for anyone, and different for everyone.  It is a continuous process, but I’m willing to share the knowledge I’ve gained throughout my journeys.  I know I can guide others to help them reach their goals.

We have to know that dropping weight requires commitment.  Losing weight and keeping it off–requires some serious lifestyle changes of mind, body & spirit.

Wellness is not a destination, it is an active process in which we make daily choices for a more successful existence.
